2) Educators the biggest stars says Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan, who is playing the role of a Patna based mathematician Anand Kumar in a biopic titled super 30, says it is an exciting role as teachers are the stars in everyone’s lives. The film is helmed by Vikas Bahl and it will showcase the life of the mathematician who trains 30 deserving students from poorer sections of society for the IIT entrance examination every year with a commendable success rate. Speaking to the Media Hrithik told, “I am very much excited doing a very inspiring film called Super 30. I feel one of the most glamorous things and the biggest stars we have in our life are our teachers, because they educated and help in the progress of the human species.
3) FDA sends notice to Vidya Balan for violating advertising norms
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sends notices to actress Vidya Balan and producers of her recently released film Tumhari Sulu for allegedly violating norms during an advertisement campaign for the cough syrup Torex. Vidya, through the advertisement, stated that the syrup can be taken for any cough related ailment. She is seen saying in the advertisement, “Sulu ke har safar mein uska saathi, Torex cough syrup ho, toh alvida khansi.’
4) “Brahmastra” sequels to release every two years
Karan Johar is geared up for his next project ‘Brahmastra’and the producer said the team will strive to release a new part in the series every two years. Ayan Mukherji has been signed up to direct the trilogy, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, which is backed by Johar’s banner Dharma Productions. The first part of the series is reportedly scheduled to be released in August 2019.”It’s in prep mode. The shoot will start in February- March for the first part. Then hopefully, every two years we will have a new part of ‘Brahmastra’,” Johar said to the media.

When a producer and a star like Priyanka Chopra extend her support to a film, it certainly gets attention on social media. The Quantico actress continued her support for independent cinema by launching the unique trailer of Amit Kumar’s upcoming, Monsoon Shootout. The interactive trailer, touted as a first in Hindi cinema, offers audiences a chance to make the choice on the direction the characters’ lives take in the film. The makers of the film have built the trailer around the pivotal moment that defines the lives of the characters in the film. Directed by Kumar, the noirish shootout film reaches a climax when Adi (played by Vijay Verma) is confronted with the decision to either shoot down the killer assassin (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui).
6) DIFF pays homage to Shashi Kapoor, Vinod Khanna, Om Puri and other actors qhich industry lost this year
The sixth edition of Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF), which began in Delhi on 4th December, paid homage to actor Shashi Kapoor, who breathed his last on the same day. “I would like to thank everyone involved in bringing this festival to its sixth edition” said founder-president Ramkishore Parcha Parcha. He then went onto pay tribute to the other actors the Indian entertainment industry lost this year including Om Puri, Achala Sachdev, Vinod Khanna, Reema Lagoo, Tom Alter, Lekh Tandon, Inder Kumar, Sita Ram Panchal and Girija Devi.
7) Padman and Aiyaary to clash in 2018!
The date 26th January has been an interesting day for Bollywood recently, witnessing the biggest clashes of the year. The year 2018 begins with a mega clash at the box office with the two major films ‘Aiyaary’ and ‘Padman’ battling against each other. 8) Late actor Shashi Kapoor draped in tricolour; receives three guns salute on his final journey!
Shashi Kapoor, one of the most handsome actors and producers from the 70s and 80s, passed away on 4th December, 2017 evening after a prolonged illness at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. The veteran actor was 79 and was survived by his three children – Sanjana, Kunal and Karan.The late actor Shashi Kapoor was given a state funeral amidst a massive security in Mumbai. On 5th December, 2017, the late actor was taken to the Hindu crematorium from his Juhu home to Santacruz. His three children — sons Kunal and Karan and daughter Sanjana- were present along with the entire Kapoor- Jain clan. At the funeral, a dozen of policemen draped Shashi Kapoor’s body in Indian Flag followed by a three-gun salute.

10) Madhuri Dixit excited to work Anil Kapoor after 17 years in Dhamaal franchise
Madhuri Dixit will soon return to the big screen. Opening up about her upcoming project, the third installment of the Dhamaal franchise, the diva says she is particularly excited about teaming up with actor Anil Kapoor after a gap of 17 years. Total Dhamaal will be directed by Indra Kumar, who helmed the duo in 1992 film Beta. Total Dhamaal will also star Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Javed Jaffery and Arshad Warsi.
Madhuri and Anil, who have been a celebrated onscreen couple courtesy hit films like Beta, Parinda and Ram Lakhan, were last seen in Rajkumar Santoshi’s Pukar (2000). When asked about collaborating with Anil again, Madhuri said, “I will be working with Anil ji after 17 odd years. I am really looking forward to it. It is a comedy, an entertaining film.”
