DEATH CONTINUES TO PLAY DIRTY GAMES
THE MULTI-TALENTED NEERAJ VORA PASSES INTO NOWHERE LAND
The industry was slowly learning to cope with the death of Shashi Kapoor when it was shocked in the early hours of December 14 when it was taken by shock again with the passing away of the multi-talented Neeraj Vora. He was in a coma for a year after he suffered a stroke in Delhi after which he never recovered. He was taken care of by his close friend and producer , Firoze Nadiadwala. His funeral started from “Barkat”, the residence and office of Firoze and led to the Santacruz crematorium where he was laid to rest in the presence of some of his best friends.
Vora had excelled in various aspects of film entertainment, theatre and television. He was basically known as a writer and wrote films like “Daud” , “Hera Pheri” ,”Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar” and “Golmaal”.
He proved to be a versatile director with different kinds of films like ,”Hera Pheri” ,”Phir Hera Pheri” ,”Khiladi 420”.
Entertainment was his forte and was seen whether it was in his writing , direction or as an actor.His comedy made a big difference to any number of films , the better known being ,”Welcome Back”, “Bol Bachchan”, “Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal”,”Department” ,”Tezz” ,Khatta Meetha”, “Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke”,”Familywala”, “Maine Dil Tujhko Diya”, “Tum Se Achcha Kaun Hai”, “Company”, “Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar”, “Dhadkan”,”Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega” , “Jung”, “Pukar”, “Mast”, “Hello Brother”,”Baadshah”, “Mann”,”Satya”,”Daud: Fun on the Run,”Virasat”,”Akele Hum Akele Tum”,”Rangeela”,”Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman “, “Holi”
Some men are born lucky. They live even after their death. Their work keeps them alive!
