Producer and Director Manoj Pandey spoke to BTV about his future plans hails from the Jharkhand state and so he is planning to shoot the entire film across the beautiful locations of his sate. “Our team is ready to take the film on floors soon. We are aiming to complete the film in a start -to-finish schedule of 45 days. We have hunted some breathtaking locations in areas like Patratu, Lohar Dagga, Hasal, Nagar Utari and Ranchi” he stated.
Filmmaker Manoj Pandey is all set to launch his first Hindi film ‘Mahli’ on a grand scale, which will be made under the banner of Dream City Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Talking about his film, which will go on floors very soon, he says, “The film will bring forth a contemporary story with a very deep message. The story of the film is going to be loved by one and all. It has all the important ingredients to set the box office on fire.” To make a film work at the ticket window, it needs to have a strong star cast who could carry the film on their shoulders with their credible performances. On being asked who he has decided to cast to play important characters in his film, Mr. Pandey says, As far as the star cast of our film is concerned, we have managed to bring together many talented artistes. With some, we are still in talk. Ravi Kishan is one of the main artist of the film and we have taken auditions of 60-70 renowned artist from our Jharkhand area and we have selected few of them for a role. We have signed Munna Singh from our area who is renowned stage artist. He has done good numbers of drama’s and play besides done Nagpuri language film. Munna Singh will be seen in our film in a new avatar of Police Chief under whose supervision the entire investigation will be done. Upon being asked what attracted him towards filmmaking, Mr. Pandey reveals an extremely interesting fact, “Last year, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das laid the foundation of a state-of-the-art Film City in the state. The government is providing a host of facilities, including one window clearance, to filmmakers who come to shoot their films in the state. Recently, Jharkhand Government organized an event ‘Momentum Jharkhand’ which saw the presence of many artistes and technicians from various parts of the country. Chief Minister Raghubar Das is leaving no stone unturned in attracting filmmakers to the state and various leading filmmakers like Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Dr Madhu Chopra got subsidies from the state for shooting their films in the state. His decision to set up a Film City in the state influenced me to become a filmmaker.”
