SACHIN JOSHI RETURNS WITH AMAVAS!

Sachin Joshi who was Launched as an actor in Tollywood with Mounamelanoyi in 2002. After a couple of Telugu movies, he forayed into Bollywood also and had a successful career in both industries. However, his last movie – a Tamil-Telugu bilingual released in 2017 Sachin is now back with another bilingual but this time it is in Hindi and Telugu. Sachin’s Amavas with director Bhushan Patel will have Nargis Fakhri as the female lead and will be releasing on February 8th. This is a horror action thriller with music by Sanjeev-Darshan, Ankit Tiwari, Abhijith Vaghani and Asad Khan. Bhushan Patel is well-known for his previous horror movies – Ragini MMS 2, Alone and 1920: Evil Returns.
Sachin Joshi is back after a long gap with his new film Amavas. As the film is also releasing in Telugu, we caught up with him for a brief chat. Here is the transcript.
Why there is a gap in production this time and what made you choose a horror thriller?
I was involve in various other activities beside film making which is my passion, when my director Bhushan Patel narrated me subject of this film. I loved it as i never did horror thriller film earlier it was my excitement and i wanted to experience it though i did various types of films may be suspense drama, action – thriller, romantic love story etc.
What is Amavas all about?
The manner in which the thrills have been narrated is the highlight of the film. Apart from this, the VFX and story of the film are top notch.
The film is a spine chilling horror thriller which has a unique screenplay and do not allow anyone to move till end.
Why did you make this film as a bilingual?
I know Telugu is a big market for such a like films. The story of the film is universal therefore, we shot the film in both the languages and took special care of the dubbing and diction of the dialogues. I am very confident and sure that both the languages Hindi and Telugu audience will love this film.
Working with Bhushan Patel?
Bhushan Patel is a great story teller, the manner in which he narrates the film, why me, anyone will be impressed. Bhushan is a PRO when it comes to making horror films. All his films have great thrills and even in Amavas his writing and execution in this film are spot on. He is very Talented and knows his job well.
Any upcoming films in Hindi – Telugu?
I have heard a couple of stories which are under the pipeline. I will take a call once I am done with the release of Amavas.
